Good afternoon Herb and Lynn, I hope all is well. I’m writing to give you an update on Canelo.
In his six months of life he’s been growing so fast and it’s been wonderful
seeing his personality coming into play with each new thing that’s presented to him.

He is a nice 60 pounds already which has me thinking he’ll be just as big as his sire Elijah.
He loves his training time especially if we go to a pet store to work on the distraction aspect.
We’re currently focusing some extra time on loose leash walking as he’s still very curious with the world
and tends to find himself running to smell everything.

His behavior around my nieces and nephews has been great.
He already knows the difference in each child’s size and strength and will play according to that.
He specifically has found interest in playing soccer with my youngest nephew.
Canelo always being the goalie and then running off with the ball until he’s caught, and then repeating the cycle over and over again.
Although he likes soccer, I would say his favorite outdoor activity is playing in water.
It could be rain, sprinklers, water hose, or pool if I go outside and there is water anywhere he will find it and play in it.

Just like when he was a pup, his mellow side comes out when we’re inside and ready to settle.
haven’t had one issue with him settling down.
He loves cuddles and I’ve found that his favorite nap spot is right next to me on the bed.
There’s not a day that has gone by where we aren’t learning from each other.
